Family of 3 Who Lost Their Lives in the Tragic Accident in Malatya Laid to Rest

Three members of the same family who lost their lives in a tragic traffic accident in Malatya's Arguvan district were sent on their final journey with an emotional ceremony held in Darende district. During the incident that occurred at night in Morhamam Mahallesi, a great disaster occurred as a result of a violent collision between a truck and a car. Due to the impact of the accident, Duygu Ecrin Koşkan, Ayşe Koşkan, and Mustafa Koşkan, who were in the car, lost their lives at the scene, while one person in the vehicle was severely injured. Following the initial examinations conducted at the scene and the investigation initiated by the prosecutor's office, the lifeless bodies of the deceased were sent to the Malatya Adli Tıp Kurumu to determine the exact causes of death. After the meticulous autopsy procedures completed by the authorities, the family's bodies were handed over to their relatives.

16-year-old Duygu Ecrin Koşkan, 54-year-old Ayşe Koşkan, and 55-year-old Mustafa Koşkan, who lost their lives, were brought to their hometown by hundreds of people who wanted to share the family's grief. The bodies were transferred to Balaban Mahallesi Karabayır Mezrası, affiliated with the Darende district, for them to accept condolences. The funeral prayer, performed with the gathering of a large congregation, was also a strong demonstration of the unity and solidarity of the local people. Following the religious obligation performed facing the qibla, accompanied by the imam, a group of people from the crowd shouldered and carried the three caskets. Along the funeral procession heading towards the neighborhood cemetery, where the terrain also posed a difficulty, prayers and elegies intertwined.
