Special Athletes Bocce Tournament Region Championship Continues with Excitement in Muğla

Organized within the scope of the 2026 activity program by the Türkiye Özel Sporcular Spor Federasyonu, the Special Athletes 1st and 2nd Region Bocce Matches have entered their second day in Marmaris district of Muğla with high participation. The organization continues to witness top-level performances displayed by athletes in different categories and fierce competitions on the field. Athletes competing in Down syndrome, mental disability, and mixed categories both showcase their physical skills throughout the day and earn great admiration with their determination. The matches, starting in the early morning hours and continuing until the evening session, received full marks from the spectators filling the stands and the officials of the organization.

Türkiye Özel Sporcular Spor Federasyonu President Birol Aydın did not leave the athletes alone and followed the competitions from the field, showing close interest in them. Before and after the start of the competitions, President Aydın met with athletes, coaches, and club representatives, chatted, and wished success to the participants. The President's interest on the field served as a source of morale for the athletes and once again highlighted the importance of the event. Athletes became the names that stamped the organization with both their sporting skills and the high fighting spirit they showed on the field.

Following the intense pace of the matches, the official opening ceremony of the organization was held with the participation of protocol members. The ceremony, attended by Aile ve Sosyal Hizmetler Bakan Yardımcısı Adil Çalışkan, Muğla Vali Yardımcısı Halil Serdar Cevheroğlu, Marmaris Kaymakamı Nurullah Kaya, Sıfır Atık Vakfı Başkanı Samed Ağırbaş, and many guests, witnessed magnificent moments. After the opening speeches and protocol greetings, the medal and cup ceremony for the athletes who ranked in the first day's competitions took place. Successful athletes received their medals from the protocol members and experienced pride and happiness.

The enthusiasm of the athletes who received their awards at the ceremony was reinforced by the entertainment programs that continued after the event. Throughout the organization, messages of unity, solidarity, and cooperation were kept at the forefront, while the unifying power of sports was felt by all participants.
