Students' Technology Project Revitalized the Cultural Center in Porto Alegre

Students of Farroupilha Koleji, a private educational institution located in Porto Alegre, Brezilya, achieved a significant success in the field of social responsibility through a technology-focused project they developed. The complete renovation of an old cultural warehouse, which had been idle for years and is located in the Morro da Cruz region in the east of the capital, was ensured. By eliminating moisture and dampness on the walls, a solid, durable, and aesthetic infrastructure was prepared for the space to host cultural events. The students' technological projects provided a great contribution, from the planning stage of the restoration process to the final detail of its implementation. Thus, the Morro da Cruz region gained a lively center that can overflow with artistic and cultural activities and bring the local community together again after years.

This restored historical and cultural warehouse now began to host the Graffiti Okulu, one of the region's new socio-cultural art centers. This situation is the clearest indication that the space was repurposed not merely as a physical repair, but as a valuable art and education center for the local community. Local graffiti artists and young people gained a safe space where they can develop their own styles, express themselves freely, and reinforce their artistic skills with education, thanks to this new opportunity. This school, which has provided significant momentum to the cultural richness of the region, also deeply supports social integration in the city by bringing street art together with broader segments of society. Thanks to the visionary projects of educational institutions and young students, the accessibility of art and cultural vibrancy in city life have visibly increased.
