Traditional Indoor Football Tournament Begins in Gornji Zuniç, Serbia

In the town of Gornji Zuniç, located in the Zayeçar region of Serbia, the traditional indoor football (futsal) tournament will be held this year as well. This sports organization, which will be held as part of the Aranđelovdanski football events, will take place between 21 and 26 July. The tournament brings together participants from different age groups, aiming for both athletic competition and local community bonding. This event, which the local people follow with great interest every year, stands out as one of the important social activities of the summer months. This year's edition of the traditional tournament is expected to take place with high participation, just like in previous years.

Within the scope of the organization, the matches will be held in three different categories, thus appealing to a wide age range. While children aged 8 to 10 will compete in the first category, youth aged 11 to 14 will take the field in the second category. The third category is reserved for adult football players and will feature the competition of senior teams. While the participation of children's teams in the tournament is completely free, a participation fee of 4,000 Serbian dinars is requested for adult teams. This tiered structure allows athletes at a young age to get used to a competitive environment, while also enabling adults to showcase a more serious effort.

It was also announced that various prizes will be given to the teams that place in the tournament. In the children's category, the team that finishes first will receive a cash prize of 7,000, the second 5,000, and the third 3,000 Serbian dinars. In the adults' category, the prizes are kept much higher, with 60,000, 40,000, and 20,000 Serbian dinars being distributed, respectively. Additionally, the winning teams in each category will be presented with cups, medals, and diplomas alongside their cash prizes. It is thought that these attractive prizes will increase the number of participants and raise the excitement level of the matches. The organizers aim to increase sports quality and highlight the spirit of fair play through these incentives.

Tournament participation applications will start on 5 July and continue until 19 July, and the application process will be completely closed at the end of this period. The draw, which will determine the team matchups, will be held on 19 July at 18.00 at the local community center in Gornji Zuniç. Team managers attending the draw ceremony will be able to learn the group stage and elimination round matchups live. This transparent draw process provides all participants with the assurance that justice is served and shows that the organization is managed professionally. In the final part of the news, there is also an announcement for the film "Moana" (Vajana), which will be screened at the Zayeçar City Cinema. This production, which will premiere at the Cultural Center between 10 and 12 July, will be presented in two separate sessions aimed at different age groups. The 18.00 session will be broadcast dubbed, making it suitable for children and families, while the 20.00 session will cater to adult audiences in its original language with subtitles. This cinema event offers an attractive alternative for local residents to participate in cultural activities beyond the futsal tournament.
