Russia's e-commerce and oil facilities hit in Ukraine's drone attack: 7 dead

Ukraine launched a large-scale and coordinated unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) attack aimed at crippling Russia's logistics infrastructure and trade network during the nighttime hours. The attacks targeted the operational bases and strategic supply centers of Wildberries, one of the country's largest e-commerce platforms, as well as a critical oil facility.

The heaviest toll from the attacks occurred at a giant logistics center in the Tambov region, southeast of Moscow. A kamikaze UAV struck the facility, which was operating intensely during the night shift, causing an explosion and the collapse of part of the building. In this incident, 7 workers lost their lives, while 24 workers were injured and taken to regional hospitals.

Around the capital, Moscow, another Wildberries shipment depot and an oil storage facility were also hit. Due to the massive fire at the oil facility, a nearby maternity hospital was urgently evacuated, and patients were transferred to safe institutions. The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that air defense systems were activated across the country overnight, destroying a total of 379 Ukrainian UAVs in the air.
