Death Toll in the Great Venezuela Earthquake Disaster Exceeds 4 Thousand

Venezuela has faced the severe consequences of two major earthquakes that occurred on 24 June and deeply shook the country. According to recent statements from officials, there is a tragic increase in the death toll as search, rescue, and debris removal efforts progress in the region. The number of fatalities has reached 4 thousand 118 so far, and it is stated that this figure painfully reveals the magnitude of the event. In this disaster, where the country's infrastructure has been severely damaged, the extent of the irreparable damage is becoming clearer day by day. Authorities warn that the death toll may unfortunately increase further with new findings reached during the work under the rubble.

Due to the devastating impact of the earthquakes, it has been announced that 16 thousand 740 people have been injured with varying degrees of severity so far. It was stated that some of the injured are in critical condition and their lives are in danger; therefore, their treatment processes are meticulously maintained.
