11 dead in fire at care center in Alger, capital of Algeria

11 people lost their lives and 19 were injured in a fire that broke out at a care and nursing home located in Alger, the capital of Algeria.

According to a statement from the country's civil protection department, firefighting teams worked to control the flames until 06.50 local time (05.50 GMT).
