Hamas's new political bureau leader Halil el-Hayya made his first statement

Halil el-Hayya, the newly elected political bureau leader of Hamas, made his first official statement following his assumption of office.

The Gazan leader stated that among the movement's current priorities are stopping the bloodshed in Gaza and providing a dignified life for the region's people.
