Live-action Moana film is entertaining but questions its necessity

The live-action adaptation of Disney's 2016 animated classic Moana is in theaters.

The original film's strong story and impressive songs have been carried over to the new film. Catherine Laga'aia's Moana and Dwayne Johnson's Maui performances deserve praise.
