15 July Democracy and National Unity Day brought to the agenda with a commemoration program in Karabük

In Karabük, a commemoration program was organized by the Governor's Office at the Millet Bahçesi due to the 15 July Democracy and National Unity Day. During the program, which started with a moment of silence, the Istiklal Marşı, and the recitation of the Quran, the life stories of the martyrs Barış Efe and Metin Arslan, who lost their lives during the coup attempt, were shared with the participants.

Speaking at the program, Karabük Governor Oktay Çağatay stated that the terrorist organization FETÖ had hidden itself under the guise of education and service for years, infiltrating state institutions. Karabük Deputy Cem Şahin emphasized that 15 July is a national epic, stating that on that night, citizens poured into the streets for the survival of the state and nation, regardless of political views.

Following the speeches, the students who ranked in the poetry and composition competitions organized in consideration of the meaning and importance of the day were awarded their prizes. After the flag handover ceremony and the sala recited at midnight, the commemoration program concluded.
