AHBAP investigation: Allegation that 210 million lira of earthquake donations remained unrecorded

In the AHBAP Association investigation, which is reflected in the MASAK report, it was revealed that approximately 210 million lira in donations collected from abroad after the earthquake were not officially recorded. It is claimed that the detained singer Haluk Levent gambled with the 990 million lira of aid money donated to the association.

The number of people detained as part of the investigation has risen to 18 with the latest detentions. Haluk Levent's assistant Yeliz Kaya and his former driver İlker Çetin stated that money transfers made through bank accounts and real estate transfers were carried out under Levent's instructions. Çetin claimed that more than 210 million lira was sent from his account to Kaya.

According to Haluk Levent's statement, a total of 4.3 billion lira in donations was collected during the earthquake period. The investigation includes broad financial allegations ranging from the use of these funds to irregular money transfers and real estate transfers. It is also alleged that Levent did not pay for the containers he ordered for the earthquake zone and defrauded two businessmen of 70 million lira.
