To address this gap, he embarks on a 'self-test' in his own city, questioning whether it is possible to rediscover Berlin through the eyes of a tourist.

Visiting different points of the city by donning the identity of a tourist, the author both feels a sense of alienation on familiar streets and observes details he hadn't noticed before.
