Weed cleaning work continuing uninterrupted throughout June in Bodrum

The teams of the Bodrum Municipality Parks and Gardens Directorate continued the weed cleaning mobilization they initiated to maintain the aesthetic appearance and ensure environmental order throughout the district without interruption during June. The work program, which started in May, was continued comprehensively in accordance with the determined plan, cleaning weeds in both green spaces and roadsides. The main purpose of these activities is to preserve the visual beauty of the city, while also minimizing the increasing risk of fire, especially in the summer months, and creating a safe environment. Teams worked intensively in the field to meet the intense demands of the summer season and to offer a cleaner environment to citizens.

Within the scope of the studies, in May, 97 thousand 188 square meters of green space and 57 thousand 183 meters of roads and sidewalks were cleaned, covering significant ground. Following this successful performance, the teams did not slow down in June and performed weed cleaning on 86 thousand 709 square meters of green space and 178 thousand 619 meters of roadside. The fact that the amount of roadside and sidewalk cleaning in June reached almost three times that of May revealed the intensity and efficiency of the work. Municipal teams contributed to ensuring environmental order in different points of Bodrum with this comprehensive cleaning activity supported by data.

When a two-month evaluation covering May and June is made, it is seen that Bodrum Municipality served a very large area in total. During this process, a total of 183 thousand 897 square meters of green space was cleaned across the district, while the amount of weed cleaning done on roads and sidewalks reached 235 thousand 802 meters. These figures clearly reveal the municipality's sensitivity and work discipline regarding city aesthetics and public health. In particular, the increase in weed formation due to the effects of drought in the summer months makes intervention over such a wide area mandatory.

The works carried out by the Bodrum Municipality Parks and Gardens Directorate were planned to cover the neighborhoods and streets in every corner of the district, not limited to certain centers. Teams carried out cleaning in priority regions determined in line with requests from citizens, focusing especially on areas that cause visual pollution. In addition to these physical cleanings, an important step was also taken to preserve urban design and keep the vegetation under control. The presence of teams in the field creates a positive effect in terms of creating environmental awareness.

The works planned throughout the summer season will continue decisively by the coordinated teams of Bodrum Municipality. The municipality, which prioritizes citizen satisfaction and the cleanliness of the city, will continue to update its program dynamically by taking requests and complaints into account. The fact that weed cleaning activities will continue uninterrupted throughout the season is a commitment that high standards will be maintained in both residential and tourist areas of Bodrum.
