Extensive Organizational Change in CHP: 7 Provincial Chairmen Dismissed

It has been reported that radical changes have been made to the organizational structure of the Republican People's Party (CHP). According to information leaked from the party headquarters and political corridors, the party administration led by Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu made critical decisions following the Central Executive Board (MYK) meeting. As a result of this comprehensive administrative action, it has been learned that a total of 7 provincial chairmen, including those from strategically important provinces, have been dismissed. It is stated that with these decisions, an official major restructuring process has begun in the party's regional organizations. Intra-party sources emphasize that this change was planned in line with future election strategies.

It has been noted that among the provinces where the dismissals took place are Afyonkarahisar, Giresun, Trabzon and Ortahisar, Yozgat, Burdur, Aydın, and Tekirdağ. It has been recorded that the current organizational administrations in these cities were either completely dissolved or their chairmen were removed from their posts. Following this large-scale change, it is believed that urgent meetings have started to be held to determine new administrations in the said provinces. It is expressed that the formation of temporary boards and the appointment processes will be shaped in line with the party's new era vision. This shocking move within the organizations has caused a significant repercussion in the local press and among party supporters.

The administrative change decisions were not limited to new dismissal actions but also brought about serious disciplinary processes for former organization executives. It has been emphasized that, in line with the decisions made, disciplinary mechanisms were put into operation quite rapidly. Along with the former İzmir Provincial Chairman Çağdaş Güç, who was previously removed from his post, the newly dismissed provincial chairmen of Giresun and Trabzon have been referred to the High Disciplinary Board (YDK) with a demand for definite expulsion. This step reveals that an uncompromising policy is being followed in order to ensure intra-party authority and discipline. It is evaluated that the expulsion demands are aimed at eliminating intra-party opposition or non-compliant behaviors.

It becomes evident that the radical decisions of the CHP headquarters towards the organizations are not limited to a single instance but are part of an ongoing structural transformation. It is remembered that only in the month of July, during the previous MYK meeting held on 1 July, exactly 26 provincial chairmen were dismissed at once. It has been stated that during this process, 7 of the 26 dismissed chairmen were directly sent to the High Disciplinary Board with a request for expulsion. It is reported that the wave of intra-party change and discipline continues to grow day by day, and this situation leads to a significant cadre renewal within the organizations. These successive harsh decisions have also led to various interpretations and discussions among the party's base.

When evaluated overall, this organizational earthquake in the CHP indicates that a new chapter has been opened in the party's internal workings and local organization strategies. It is clearly understood from these recent decisions that the central administration is driven to increase its control over subordinate units and to directly implement its own policies through appointments.
