In Düzce, a taxi flew off an embankment from 50 meters, driver rescued with minor injuries

In a traffic accident that occurred in the Güneyköy location of the Yığılca district in Düzce, a commercial taxi rolled over after flying off an embankment from a height of approximately 50 meters. Following the accident, numerous search and rescue teams dispatched to the region launched a prolonged operation to extract the injured driver from where he was trapped. According to the information obtained, the accident occurred when the commercial taxi driver, traveling from the Yığılca direction towards the Güney village direction, lost control of the steering wheel. It was reported that after the vehicle went out of control, it skidded for a distance of approximately 50 meters and finally stopped after rolling over. Tow truck, fire department, AFAD, gendarmerie, and medical teams arriving at the scene worked intensively to rescue the trapped driver. As a result of the difficult and meticulous rescue operations lasting approximately half an hour, the driver was carefully extracted from the vehicle and taken to a safe area. During this process, medical teams continuously monitored the driver's vital signs and performed the necessary initial medical interventions at the scene. Thanks to the rapid and coordinated intervention of the teams, a potential disaster was prevented, and the driver's survival was ensured.

It was learned that after the driver was extracted from the trapped area, his condition was stabilized, and he was dispatched to Düzce University Research and Application Hospital by ambulance. As a result of the detailed examination and tests performed at the hospital, doctors announced that the driver's general health condition was good and his life was not in danger. It is estimated that the treatment of the driver, who was hospitalized, will be short, and he will be discharged afterwards. It was stated that keeping the driver under observation in the hospital is a standard procedure to detect potential internal injuries that may occur after compression and impact in such accidents. It was reported that the driver is also psychologically trying to overcome the effects of this terrifying event and his condition is being monitored by his relatives.
