2 people who cut the 15 Temmuz poster in Eskişehir released under judicial control

Two private security guards who cut the 15 Temmuz commemoration program poster bearing the Governor's Office logo, located on Hamamyolu Caddesi in the Odunpazarı district of Eskişehir, were taken into custody upon the instruction of the Cumhuriyet Başsavcılığı. The suspects, who were caught as part of the investigation launched after the footage was shared on social media, had their procedures at the police department completed.

The detained suspects were referred to the Sulh Ceza Hâkimliği to have their statements taken on charges of 'provoking or humiliating the public to hatred and hostility'. The duty court decided to release the suspects by applying a judicial control measure instead of arresting them.

As part of the decision, the two suspects were given a ban on leaving the country and an obligation to sign in at law enforcement forces every 15 days. The Eskişehir Cumhuriyet Başsavcılığı announced that the investigation into the incident is being meticulously continued.
