Hackers Seize France's National Alert Website and Marine Le Pen's X Account

Unknown hackers carried out a cyber attack to seize France's public National Alert website and the account of famous politician Marine Le Pen on the X (formerly Twitter) platform. Following the attack, a suspicious post written in English was shared from Le Pen's account, aiming to make her supporters receptive.

In the post shared from the account, followers were urged to invest in a mysterious cryptocurrency called $LEPEN by appealing to their feelings of patriotism and nationalism. This cryptocurrency promotion made through the social media account immediately caught the attention of users and the public.

Such cyber attacks have once again exposed the security vulnerabilities of prominent political figures' digital accounts and how malicious actors can use these platforms for their own interests. The effects of this illegal cryptocurrency scam and when the accounts will be restored are not yet known in detail.
