Investments in infrastructure and social facilities carried out by the municipality in the Hekimhan district of Malatya have reached a significant stage. Opened for service for the first time this year, 'Salon Hekimhan' hosted a delayed event organized for Women's Day and Mother's Day. Citizens showed great interest in the program, where a high attendance was observed. Making the opening speech of the program, Hekimhan Mayor Mehmet Şerif Yıldırım informed the public about current projects and completed investments in the district. Yıldırım emphasized that they will continue to provide modern works worthy of this identity to the district, which stands out with its historical and cultural richness.

It was announced that significant progress has been made in the bazaar renewal project, which has been on the agenda for a long time in the district center. Within the scope of the project approved by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, the bazaar with old and risky buildings is being completely demolished and rebuilt from scratch. Mayor Yıldırım stated that they want to carry out urban transformation with their own means before a possible earthquake disaster. It was expressed that this proactive approach is of great importance for the safety of citizens' lives and property. The new bazaar, where work continues rapidly, is aimed to be completed and put into service for the public around this time next year.

It was announced that the area located right next to the newly opened hall, covering an area of approximately two thousand two hundred square meters, will soon be put into service as a park. In addition, it was stated that Ilıca Park, which has been idle and unusable for years, has been rearranged and made available for citizens' use. Mayor Yıldırım noted that work continues uninterruptedly in the Karadere Pond and Dipsiz Göl projects in line with the goal of increasing natural living spaces. It was stated that these projects will meet the social and recreational needs of the district and will be completed soon to be brought to the regional public. It was emphasized that the local administration is determined to improve the district's environmental arrangements and green space potential.

The statements of Mayor Mehmet Şerif Yıldırım were not limited to local investments; political developments were also touched upon. Evaluating the changes in duties and intra-party dynamics in the main opposition party CHP, Yıldırım clearly revealed his political stance. Expressing their loyalty to their party by stating that they will not abandon or sell out the friends they started this journey with, he stated that they are even willing to face any negative decisions that might be made about them during this process, such as an expulsion process. Continuing his speech with a strong political message, he emphasized that no power can stop the people's love, Atatürk's principles, and their goal of marching to power.

Delivering messages of solidarity and brotherhood at the end of his speech, Yıldırım sent his regards to Özgür Özel and Veli Ağbaba, who are prominent figures in the CHP. He emphasized unity and togetherness by saying greetings to everyone whose heart beats for this country and who resists difficulties. Following the official speeches, the event took on a more intimate atmosphere with a meal served to the participants. The night ended with a concert by famous artists Şehriban Kırıcı and İrfan Yılmaz, providing participants with an unforgettable experience. The event served an important function both in promoting Hekimhan's new social facilities and in fostering the integration of the local community.
