A tragic incident occurred in Bursa's Orhangazi district, starting among a group of friends who wanted to escape the summer heat in İznik Gölü. Two individuals named İsmail İmamoğlu and Bünyamin Kadı from the four-person group, who entered the lake to cool off due to the hot weather, were noticed to have not come out of the water for some time. Upon their friends realizing the situation and notifying the authorities, a large-scale search and rescue operation was launched in the region.

Authorities are conducting an operation in the lake with teams from both land and water to find the missing persons.
