Major Narcotics Operation in Kastamonu: 3 Arrests and Numerous Weapons Seized

Successful operations conducted by the Kastamonu İl Jandarma Komutanlığı teams against the manufacturing and trafficking of narcotics continue without slowing down. As part of the fight against narcotics crimes, a comprehensive study was carried out between 29 Haziran and 6 Temmuz 2026. Simultaneous raids were conducted on the addresses of suspects identified as engaging in illegal activities, eliminating the criminal elements. As a result of the meticulous planning by the gendarmerie teams, a major blow was dealt to the drug networks in the region. The operations are being carried out with a zero-tolerance principle against such organized crimes that threaten public peace and security.

It was announced that a large number of illegal substances and weapons were seized during the searches conducted. Among the materials taken into custody by the security forces are 34 synthetic drug pills, 163 cannabis plants, and 142 grams of cannabinoid-infused tobacco. Additionally, 15 grams of methamphetamine and 5 different apparatuses for drug use were among the seized items. Within the scope of the operation, not only narcotics but also illegal weapons were targeted. During the searches, 2 unlicensed pistols, various numbers of pistol magazines, and 1 long-barreled weapon magazine were also identified and handed over to the security forces.

It was reported that the interrogation processes of the suspects detained during the simultaneous raids have been completed and they have been referred to the courthouse. After their statements were taken, the suspects named B.K., S.Ç., and A.E. were arrested by the judicial authorities they were brought before. Following the court's decision, these three arrested individuals were sent to the detention center, and their prison process was initiated. Authorities announced to the public that the judicial process regarding the operations is being conducted meticulously and flawlessly. It was emphasized that all necessary judicial and legal steps will be taken to prove the charges against the suspects.
