Public Transportation Expanding in Kastamonu: New Yellow Bus in Testing Phase

Kastamonu Municipality continues its efforts to strengthen the Yellow Bus fleet in order to improve service quality in urban transportation and provide citizens with a better experience. In this context, a comprehensive evaluation process has been initiated to add new vehicles to the public transport fleet in the city. Additionally, operational details such as the vehicle's fuel consumption, engine efficiency, and long-term maintenance costs are being examined. The teams are testing on-site how well the bus adapts to the topographic structure of Kastamonu and existing road conditions. Following the results of these comprehensive technical evaluations, a final decision will be made regarding whether the vehicle will be permanently added to the fleet.

The main purpose of all these efforts is to provide a more comfortable, safe, and uninterrupted public transportation service to the citizens living in Kastamonu. Due to the aging of the current vehicles and the needs brought by the increasing population, the municipality is adopting a strategy to modernize its fleet.
