52 Kuruş Discount Coming to LPG Prices: Here is the Expected Date

Fluctuations and price declines in the international oil markets continue to directly reflect on fuel costs in Türkiye. The downward trend observed in crude oil and diesel prices on a global scale is among the main factors affecting pricing in the domestic market. In light of these developments, drivers are expecting a discount at the pump starting from approximately Wednesday, 2 Temmuz 2026. Effective as of 00.01 on the mentioned date, a discount of 0,52 TL will be implemented on the per-liter price of LPG, also known as autogas. This expected 52 kuruş discount will be directly reflected at the pump for consumers and will provide partial relief for vehicle owners.

This planned discount is considered welcome news for vehicle owners during a time when transportation expenses are currently high. Many drivers closely follow such price drops, as they cover a large group, especially those using LPG-powered vehicles. This change, which has an impact in many different areas from daily urban transportation to long-distance travel, has the potential to positively affect cost calculations, particularly in the commercial taxi and passenger transport sectors. Sector representatives and consumers also expect the discount to be reflected in pump prices immediately and fully. Thus, as of the specified date, current LPG prices will be pulled slightly below the average 31 TL band.

While this discount is expected in LPG prices, no change is currently foreseen for other essential fuel types such as gasoline and diesel. It is known that drivers are eagerly awaiting price increases or decreases for these two items. However, since the balancing process in international markets has not fully reflected on gasoline and diesel, neither a price hike nor a discount for these products is on the agenda. This decline, which will occur only in LPG, also provides clues about the general state of the fuel market. Whether current global economic conditions will affect gasoline and diesel prices in the coming days will become clear in future dates.

When current fuel prices are examined, it can be better understood how effective the LPG discount might be. While the current LPG price on the European side of İstanbul is announced as 31,99 TL, this price stands at 31,39 TL on the Asian side. In the capital Ankara, the LPG price is currently listed at 31,97 TL. In another major city, İzmir, the current liter of LPG is offered for sale at 31,79 TL. With this discount, LPG prices in the mentioned cities will be pulled slightly below the 31 TL band. This situation will create a certain amount of savings opportunity for the large vehicle fleet using LPG.

On the other hand, current gasoline and diesel prices are also among the important data reflecting the economic outlook in different cities of the country. On the European side of İstanbul, gasoline is listed at 62,29 TL, and diesel at 64,57 TL. While it is seen that gasoline is at 62,11 TL and diesel at 64,39 TL on the Asian side, gasoline in Ankara is hovering around 63,23 TL and diesel at 65,64 TL. In İzmir, gasoline has been recorded at 63,50 TL, and diesel at 65,92 TL. These figures clearly show that fuels unaffected by the discount maintain their high cost levels and that savings will only be valid for those using LPG.
