Insults by Tisza MP Kulcsár recorded in the minutes of the Hungarian Parliament

The minutes of the session held in the Hungarian Parliament last week have been published. The documents confirm that Kulcsár Krisztián, MP of the opposition party Tisza, repeatedly interrupted MP Molnárné Lezsák Anna of the ruling Fidesz party during her speech, hurling severe insults at her and her family. These words, which were not clearly heard during the live broadcast, were fully reflected in the official parliamentary records.

According to the minutes, Kulcsár continuously interrupted Lezsák's speech, using severe profanities and derogatory expressions. While many MPs protested the situation, politicians from various parties stated that Kulcsár owed an apology. Following the escalation of the incident, Kulcsár apologized from the rostrum, claiming that his words were said in anger and were not meant in their literal sense.

Although Lezsák Anna accepted the apologies, calls were made for Kulcsár, the former president of the Hungarian Olympic Committee, to resign from parliament. In a statement, the Tisza Party group acknowledged that Kulcsár had made a mistake, apologized, and expressed hope that all MPs would learn a lesson from this incident.
