Suspect who held his wife hostage in Manisa and bit off her nose was caught in a police operation

In a horrific domestic violence incident that occurred during the night hours in the Turgutlu district of Manisa, an individual was detained on suspicion of biting off his wife's nose during an argument. Upon neighbors reporting the incident due to the sounds of a fight, police, medical, and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the scene.

The situation alerted the teams when the suspect refused to open the door and took the woman and children in the house hostage. While fire brigade teams set up a jump cushion in front of the building, the woman was safely evacuated from the balcony with the help of an aerial ladder truck. Later, the police teams who entered the residence neutralized the suspect and took him into custody.

Severely injured İ.G., whose nose was bitten off, was referred to Manisa Celal Bayar Üniversitesi Hafsa Sultan Hastanesi because she required plastic surgery treatment after initial medical intervention. It was learned that the health conditions of the two girls in the house were good, while the police prevented the suspect from being lynched by citizens who gathered on the street.
