Scary Moment in the MLB All-Star Game: Ball Hitting Caminero Injures the Player

Major League Baseball's (MLB) traditional All-Star game was played on 14 July at Citizens Bank Park, hosted by the Philadelphia Phillies. In the third inning of the match, Junior Caminero, the young infielder of the Tampa Bay Rays, was the subject of terrifying moments on the field.

Caminero collapsed in agony as a result of a hard ball, one of the pitches on the field, traveling at approximately 157 km/s, hitting his left hand directly. The violence of the impact and the unbearable pain the player experienced caused great panic throughout the stadium.

Following this worrying incident, it was understood that the player would not be able to continue the game and he was substituted with a backup player after receiving medical attention on the field. The spectators and teammates felt a deep sense of concern for the young athlete.
