Tractor and Car Collide on Muş-Bitlis Highway: 3 Injured

In a traffic accident on the Muş-Bitlis highway, 3 people were injured as a result of a collision between a car and a tractor. The accident occurred in the location of Gökyazı village, affiliated with Hasköy district. With the impact of the collision, the car caught fire while the tractor overturned by the roadside. Thanks to the rapid intervention of the gendarmerie teams at the scene, the burning vehicle was extinguished. The injured, whose life-threatening conditions were not reported, were taken to the hospital by ambulances dispatched to the region.

According to the information obtained, the accident occurred in the location of Gökyazı village, located within the borders of Muş's Hasköy district. A tractor exiting from Gökyazı village onto the highway and a car traveling in the Muş-Bitlis direction collided with each other for a yet fully undetermined reason. It was learned that a large-scale investigation has been launched in the region regarding the cause of the accident and gendarmerie teams are investigating the matter. It was announced that due to the very severe collision, heavy damages occurred in both vehicles. Authorities continue their work to clarify whether driver carelessness or weather conditions caused the accident.

Immediately after the accident, a large number of security, health, and firefighting teams were dispatched to the region. In particular, the gendarmerie teams patrolling or on duty at the nearest point evaluated the situation instantly and made the first intervention to the flaming car. The extinguishing operation started by the gendarmerie personnel with fire extinguishers was supported by the firefighting teams arriving at the scene shortly after, and the flames were completely brought under control. At the same time, 112 Emergency Health teams provided first medical aid at the scene to the people affected by the accident and injured in various places. After security measures were taken in the region, the road was reopened to traffic in a controlled manner.

In the traffic accident that occurred, it was stated that extensive material damage occurred to the tractor and it became unusable. The car, thrown to the roadside with the force of the collision, turned into a fireball and became completely unusable. A total of 3 people who were inside the vehicle and injured by the accident were placed in ambulances after the first interventions made by the health teams at the scene. The injured were taken to Muş Devlet Hastanesi for a more detailed examination, tests, and necessary treatments. It was reported that the general health conditions of the injured taken to the hospital are good and they are not in life-threatening danger.
