Educational Support for 2000 Children from a Charitable Organization in Nijerya

Over 2000 children attending public primary schools in the Ikorodu district of Lagos State, Nijerya, received various school supplies through a charity campaign conducted by an organization named Kompactible. The distributed materials included school uniforms, backpacks, school sandals, notebooks, socks, pens, and erasers, meeting the students' basic needs. Such initiatives are of vital importance for ensuring that children from financially disadvantaged families can continue their education without interruption. Thanks to the collaborative efforts of local governments and civil society organizations, education standards in the region are being raised. The happiness on the children's faces was observed to strengthen social solidarity, which is the core objective of the organization.

The said charity project is being conducted under the name Project Q-Good (Quality Education, Good Health and Well-being Project) and has been approved by the Lagos State Education Board. The project is fundamentally based on the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals: SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and SDG 4 (Quality Education). The organizers state that they started this meaningful tradition to celebrate Children's Day annually and to support students from underprivileged backgrounds. The main theme of this year's event, which is the fifth to be held, was determined as "Their Future, Our Priority". Ayamgburen, Methodist, Oga, and Anglican primary schools in the Ikorodu district were among the educational institutions that benefited from this event.

Favour Fagbolade, the founder of the Kompactible organization, stated in her declaration that this year's program was accompanied by awareness campaigns on topics such as health, education, security, personal safety, and character development. Emphasizing that their main goal is to raise a conscious, healthy, and strong generation, Fagbolade highlighted the importance of supporting mental development. Since 2022, the organization has been distributing school supplies and organizing educational programs to help disadvantaged communities overcome their challenges. They expressed their aim to create lasting and positive impacts on children's lives through the contributions of volunteers, sponsors, and philanthropists. The project's vision for the future clearly reveals the central role of investments in children's education and well-being in social development.

Ewaoluwa Fagbolade, the project manager of the organization and also a lawyer, shared important details regarding the project's growth process from its inception to the present. She proudly stated that the initiative, which started in 2022 with awareness campaigns for only 281 students and school supplies distribution to 36 students, has now transformed into a hopeful movement. According to the information provided by the manager, the organization has managed to reach a total of over 5,000 school children to date. She noted that their mission this year was to provide young students with essential school supplies as well as to deliver vital health and safety education. They stated that through visits conducted on 21 and 22 May 2026 at four schools in Lagos, they touched the direct lives of 2000 children, and that the happiness of these children was their greatest gain.

The volunteers who participated in the event also provided emotional and enthusiastic feedback regarding their rewarding experiences in the field. A volunteer named Tobi stated that the organization left a highly positive and impressive impact on the children, noting that the students were extremely happy to host them. Another volunteer, Joy, expressed that the smiles on the children's faces meant everything to her and that this moment made her forget all her fatigue. Joy emphasized that the children had probably been asking their parents for these basic school materials for a long time, and the fulfillment of these requests carried great significance. Additionally, she thanked the teachers who ensured the children were organized and disciplined, drawing attention to the importance of this successful collaboration.
