A Meaningful Visit to Osmaniye from the Forest Conservation Officers Association

A delegation led by İbrahim Uysal, the General President of the Orman Muhafaza Memurları Derneği, conducted a comprehensive visit to the Osmaniye Orman İşletme Müdürlüğü. Including members of the association's management and advisory board, this visit was organized to meet with the organization's personnel and inspect field operations on-site. During the visit, congratulations and well-wishes were conveyed specifically for the new service building completed after the earthquake. The delegation expressed their belief that the new building, which opened with its modern structure, would add strength to the organization's power. This visit was considered an important step towards strengthening the association's bond with the personnel working in the field.

In addition to General President İbrahim Uysal, Vice President Gökhan Yıldız was also present in the visiting delegation. Furthermore, Board Member Burhan Ciğer and Advisory Board Member Ahmet Demirci were among those accompanying the delegation. Halil İbrahim Çevik, the Workplace Representative of the Düziçi Orman İşletme Müdürlüğü, was also one of the delegation members present during the visit. This large-scale delegation had the opportunity to inspect the activities of the Osmaniye forest organization on-site. The delegation members gained close insight into the forest conservation activities in the region and the current status of the organization.

The delegation held an important meeting with Eyyüp Karagöl, the Osmaniye Orman İşletme Müdürü, at his office. During the meeting, the extent of the destruction in the region and the subsequent recovery process following the great disaster of the 6 Şubat earthquakes were discussed. It was emphasized that building a new service building in place of the old one destroyed in the earthquake was a great source of morale for the region. While it was hoped that the new service building would bring good fortune, it was stated that its modern structure would improve the working conditions of the personnel. Karagöl thanked the delegation and provided information regarding the work in the new building.

Following the official meetings, the delegation met with forest conservation officers and other colleagues who work devotedly in the field. General President İbrahim Uysal, who had a pleasant conversation with the personnel, had the opportunity to personally listen to the demands and problems of his colleagues in the field. Uysal informed the personnel about the association's activities and emphasized the importance of strengthening inter-institutional communication. The field personnel shared their thoughts and expectations regarding their working conditions with the delegation. This direct communication further solidified the association's bond with the field.

At the end of the visit, the delegation expressed their gratitude to İşletme Müdürü Eyyüp Karagöl and all colleagues for the hospitality shown. The Orman Muhafaza Memurları Derneği aims to increase solidarity within the organization and defend the rights of colleagues more effectively through such visits. The restructuring and recovery process observed in Osmaniye reveals the determination of the regional forest organization. Association officials stated that field visits would continue in other provinces and that these activities would be carried out regularly.
