Oil prices dip slightly amid US-Iran tensions

Global crude oil prices fell slightly on Thursday as investors assessed the renewed risk of military conflict between the US and Iran and its potential impact on Middle East oil supply. Brent crude futures fell 43 cents, or 0.45%, to $95.20 a barrel. US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude fell 24 cents, or 0.26%, to $90.77.

Market participants continue to closely monitor developments between Washington and Tehran; there are concerns that a new escalation could disrupt oil production, transportation, and exports in the region.
