SBTÜ Continues Its Academic Growth with 3 New Departments

Sivas Bilim ve Teknoloji Üniversitesi (SBTÜ) is expanding its academic vision in the 2026-2027 academic year with three new undergraduate programs. These new programs include Space Engineering, Metallurgy and Materials Engineering, and Field Crops departments. The said departments aim to give significant momentum to the university's practice and project-oriented educational approach. Established within the relevant faculties, these programs are preparing to accept their first students in the 2026-2027 period. This step is of great importance in terms of further increasing the university's competence in the fields of science and technology.

In the new period, the Department of Space Engineering, opened under the Faculty of Aviation and Space Sciences, aims to train expert engineers in the space and aviation fields in parallel with Turkey's goals. The Department of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering, established under the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, focuses on creating the qualified workforce sought by the defense, energy, and manufacturing sectors. In addition, the Department of Field Crops, which will operate under the umbrella of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technology, will provide education on modern agricultural techniques.
