SpaceX Arrives at Mexican Stock Exchange via SIC on September 14

SpaceX will begin trading on the Mexican Stock Exchange (BMV) on September 14 through the International Quotation System (SIC). The company opens to Mexican investors following its Initial Public Offering (IPO) on Wall Street on June 12, 2026. On Thursday, shares rose 6.42% to $149.74, bringing its market capitalization to $1.973 trillion. Since its IPO, SpaceX has gained 10.92% in value, and its $85.7 billion offering became the largest IPO in history.

Analysts highlighted that SpaceX's entry into the BMV provides diversification for Mexican investors, but warned that the space sector carries high volatility. They noted that success depends on contracts with government agencies like NASA and successful launches, citing a lack of short-term financial maturity and instability risks stemming from media communications. They added that long-term growth remains tied to financial results and mission performance.

Meanwhile, Tesla shares rose 5.42% to $376.37 following the Cybercab launch in Austin, though they are down 16.31% year-to-date. A $16.8 billion investment plan for the joint Terafab project was announced. Elon Musk's fortune increased by $53.9 billion in a single day to reach $926.2 billion, maintaining his position as the world's richest person with 170% growth in 2025.
