Sudan's Blue Nile State Trains 40 Employees for Digital Collection

The Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning in Sudan's Blue Nile (Nil Mavili) state has taken an important step within the scope of its digital transformation vision. The Ministry successfully completed a special training program attended by forty employees in order to modernize revenue collection processes. This intensive training, titled "Introduction to Computer and Isal Program", aims to improve the public financial management system in the region. The training is considered a concrete reflection of the Ministry's capacity-building efforts and its transition to electronic collection systems. It is planned to make the revenue collection processes in the region more transparent and efficient.

Fethi Ebu'l-Keylik, Director of the Collection Department at the Ministry, highlighted the main objectives of the training. Ebu'l-Keylik stated that this course aims to significantly increase the employees' skills in using computers and the "Isal" software. It was emphasized that increasing the technical capacity of the personnel will directly raise the quality and overall performance of financial collection operations. It was stated that adapting to modern electronic systems is essential for a more effective management of the region's financial resources. The official also added that they aim to minimize human-induced errors in operations through the use of innovative digital tools.

Bedreddin, one of the representatives of the trainees who attended the training, stated that the program lasted for fifteen days and was highly productive. He reported that during this period, participants gained intensive practical knowledge and skills regarding the use of computer systems and the new digital collection software. It was noted that the greatest benefit of this training is that it facilitates the transition from a traditional paper-based collection system to a fully digital one. Thanks to the new competencies acquired by the personnel, a significant increase in operational speed and efficiency is expected in the collection units in the region. The trainees stated that this modernization step has also increased professionalism in their working environment and boosted their motivation.

In the Blue Nile (Nil Mavili) state, especially following the recent control of the El-Kurmuk region, revitalizing the economy is of great importance for the reconstruction and development of the region. In this context, it was emphasized that the efforts of the personnel in the fields of financial collection and revenue generation must be doubled in the new era. It was stated that the revenues to be obtained will directly provide resources for development and infrastructure projects across the state and will strengthen the public services offered by the government. It is aimed to accelerate the economic cycle and best utilize local resources to ensure stability and welfare. Authorities believe that this economic revival will positively affect the living standards of the people in the region.

Hasan Muhammed Abdurrahman, Director of Human Resources Development at the Ministry, also provided information about the future plans of the process. Abdurrahman stated that this training is an integral part of the Ministry's strategy to prevent revenue losses and grow existing revenues. It was announced that in the upcoming period, special training programs will continue to be held on an ongoing basis, covering the entirety of the approximately one hundred and sixty personnel working in the field of collection. Thanks to this technological integration and capacity increase, the Blue Nile (Nil Mavili) state aims to strengthen its corporate performance and complete its electronic collection projects. All these modernization steps pave the way for managing financial resources with a more professional, transparent, and technological perspective.
