Tatarstan's Youth Organization Opened a New Multi-Purpose Venue in Kazan

The new multi-format center named "СО.Здание" (SO.Zdanie) by the Tatarstan Student Unions has been opened at the Kazan Energy College. This innovative venue houses units such as coworking areas, an exhibition complex, and a career guidance center. Its primary purpose stands out as helping young people prepare for professional life and map out the right career paths. Young people in the region can obtain detailed information here about in-demand professions and current job postings. Additionally, a modern infrastructure is provided, designed to contribute to the personal development of the youth and to help them expand their social networks. Thus, youth organization is supported by being integrated with new generation workspaces.

Vasily Islayev, Director of the Tatarstan Republic Student Unions Center, made statements regarding the importance of the opening. According to Islayev's statements, this new center serves a much more comprehensive purpose than just a daily workspace. The venue was planned as a coordinated training and meeting point for young people to effectively prepare for the upcoming work season. At the same time, critical issues such as patriotic education, revealing creative potential, and sharing experiences among students are supported here. This approach, focusing on the both professional and spiritual development of young people, reflects the fundamental philosophy of state-supported youth projects. Through all these activities, it is aimed for students to be raised as beneficial, visionary individuals to society.

The opening in question holds the distinction of being the second similar student center to become operational in Kazan since Haziran 2026. The newly established "СО.Здание" area was equipped to have capabilities far beyond those of classic working offices. Inside, there is a photography studio and a podcast recording area for young people to increase their productivity. Additionally, creative event areas where various social projects are produced and discussed constitute an important part of the venue. This infrastructure, which brings together young people from various disciplines, aims to encourage cultural and digital production. With these features, the center will serve as an incubator center that will transform the energy of the youth into concrete projects.

The opening of the new venue was scheduled to coincide with the "Year of Military and Labor Heroism" events declared in the Tatarstan Republic. Eight more similar student-focused areas are operational across the region; the cities of Buinsk, Almetyevsk, Zainsk, Naberezhnye Chelny, and Kazan are among the primary locations hosting this project. Moreover, Tatarstan has achieved a first in the country by moving these student centers into an industrial facility (KAMAZ factory) and a children's camp. These strategic positionings aim to integrate education and youth activities directly into the heart of society and the economy. It is aimed for young people to both closely experience production facilities and gain a sense of responsibility from an early age. This broad network further strengthens the role of student unions in regional development.

The financial dimension of these projects is also shaped by the devoted efforts of the youth themselves. The resources required for the construction and equipment of the new venues were collected as part of a national donation campaign called "Productive Working Day." Last year, student unions in Tatarstan alone demonstrated exemplary solidarity by providing more than 4.6 million rubles in cash contributions to the Tatarstan Student Unions (RSO) fund. All these operational processes and strategic planning are meticulously coordinated by the Tatarstan Ministry of Youth under the umbrella of the national "Youth and Children" project. The combination of state support and civic initiatives brings an innovative vision to youth employment and social development models in the region. This structure also contributes to the sustainability of these spaces, created by local youth with their own means.
