FETÖ operation across Türkiye: 704 suspects taken into custody

In the large-scale FETÖ operations conducted simultaneously in 81 provinces of Türkiye, legal proceedings were initiated against a total of 973 suspects. In the operations carried out by security units, 704 people were caught and taken into custody, while it was stated that efforts continue to capture 269 fugitive suspects for whom proceedings were initiated.

In the statement, where the profile of the detained suspects was examined, it was revealed that 484 people were private sector employees or civilian citizens. The remaining individuals in custody consist of active, dismissed, or retired public personnel. Within the scope of the operation, 170 active public officials, 44 dismissed public personnel, and 6 retired public employees were caught.

The distribution of active public personnel was also shared in detail. Accordingly, 97 personnel within the Ministry of Interior were taken into custody, while 14 personnel from the Ministry of Justice were detained. It was announced that the remaining public personnel consist of teachers, doctors, nurses, and academics working in the Ministry of National Education, Ministry of Health, and various universities.
