Ukraine strikes Russian refineries as part of 40-day 'influence operation'; Trump may abandon Anchorage deals

Ukraine attacked the Slaviansk-na-Kubani oil refinery in Russia's Krasnodar region with drones on the night of June 28, killing one person and causing a fire. The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) confirmed the strike, stating it was part of a 40-day 'influence operation' announced by President Zelensky on June 25. Another refinery in the Yaroslavl region was also hit. In response, Russian forces bombed Zaporizhzhia and Kyiv, killing two and wounding 16 in Zaporizhzhia. Meanwhile, at the G7 summit, Trump expressed disappointment with Putin and hinted at abandoning the so-called 'Anchorage agreements' reached during their 2025 summit in Alaska.
