One of the year's most anticipated films, Alpha, has hit the theaters today. Dia Mirza steps in at a critical juncture in the plot, contributing significantly to the film's narrative with approximately 10 minutes of screen time. While Mirza is credited as a 'Guest Appearance' in the film, it is noted that this surprise look was cleverly kept under wraps and was not featured in the trailers. Although Hrithik Roshan's look had previously been shared in promos, Mirza's presence in the production served as another surprise element for the audience.

The film Alpha emerges as an action-entertainer starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari in lead roles, supported by Anil Kapoor. Bobby Deol portrays the antagonist, while the director's chair is occupied by Shiv Rawail, who previously garnered acclaim with The Railway Men. Carrying the signature of famous producer Aditya Chopra's Yash Raj Films (YRF), this production prepares the audience for a cinema experience filled with high doses of action and drama. With its cast and director, the film has made an ambitious start to break box office records.

One of the most important features of this production is that it is the seventh film of the YRF Spy Universe. This vast cinematic universe began in 2012 with Ek Tha Tiger, starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, and continued with the 2017 film Tiger Zinda Hai. Directors such as Kabir Khan and Ali Abbas Zafar have roughly sat in the director's chair of the series, and over time, the universe has expanded by adding different stories and characters. These works have become one of Bollywood's largest and most profitable spy-themed projects.

The universe's story deepened with the 2019 film War, starring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff, and subsequently with Pathaan, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. The film Pathaan went down in history as the first cross-over experience within the universe, featuring a special appearance by Salman Khan's Tiger character. These crossovers have enabled different film series to merge within the same universe, offering fans a massive unified story. Shah Rukh Khan's Pathawan character later reappeared in the film Tiger 3.

The series' most recent film before Alpha was War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani, and directed by Ayan Mukerji. YRF has implemented a vast vision strategy for this new film, planning more than 9000 shows on 2750 screens. Alpha is not just a single film, but a new link in this universe, which has been continuing for over a decade and has become one of the biggest brands in Indian cinema. Audiences are eagerly awaiting what will transpire in this massive production where new characters and old heroes intersect.
