According to the chained volume index, GDP grew by 3.7% compared to the previous year, while at current prices GDP increased by 41.6% to reach 63 trillion 240 billion 524 million lira. Per capita GDP was calculated as 714 thousand 682 lira at current prices and 18 thousand 103 dollars in dollar terms.
Sectorally, manufacturing industry ranked as the largest sector with a 15.6% share, while construction was the fastest growing sector with 11% growth. Agriculture, forestry and fishing shrank by 8.5%, becoming the sector with the largest contraction. Household consumption expenditures increased by 4.2% and their share in GDP was realized as 54.4%.
According to the expenditure method, exports of goods and services decreased by 0.6% while imports increased by 4.6%. According to the income method, compensation of employees increased by 40%, and gross operating surplus/mixed income increased by 41.3%. The share of compensation of employees in gross value added rose to 36.6%, while the share of operating surplus rose to 44.3%.
