Person who lost their life while fleeing ICE operation in the US lost their life

In the US state of Florida, a man who tried to flee on foot from an operation conducted by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents lost his life. The incident occurred in the parking lot of a gas station near the St. Augustine tourist area.

According to a statement from the Florida Highway Patrol, the person lost his life after being struck by a tractor-trailer truck while fleeing from the agents. It was reported that the deceased was a Mexican citizen and that three other individuals traveling in the same vehicle also fled the scene.

This incident marks at least the third death to occur during ICE operations in the last few days. While criticism of the immigration policies of the US Department of Homeland Security is increasing, the aggressive methods of ICE agents continue to draw backlash across the country.
