Suspect who beat and stabbed his wife in Adana has fled

In a residential complex located in Mahfesığmaz Mahallesi, Çukurova ilçesi, Adana, an argument broke out between a couple with two children for an unknown reason. Allegedly, the argument that started in the apartment on the fourth floor between foreign national D.G. (43) and his wife K.C. (38) rapidly escalated. As the argument turned violent, the woman had to leave the house and flee down the apartment building. Following this, D.G., armed with a hammer and a knife, went down the building after his wife. It was reported that great panic occurred in the neighborhood as the incident reached this stage.

Reaching the entrance door of the building, the suspect caught his wife, who was trying to escape. D.G. struck his wife K.C. on the head multiple times with a hammer, attempting to incapacitate her. Then, he stabbed her in the throat, severely injuring the poor woman. While the severely injured K.C. collapsed on the ground in a pool of blood, the surrounding citizens immediately reported the situation to medical and police teams. Meanwhile, the suspect D.G. quickly left the scene and lost track.

Upon the notification of the bystanders, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene shortly. The medical teams performed first aid on the woman who was lying on the ground in a pool of blood. After the first intervention, the severely injured K.C. was taken to the hospital by ambulance. It was learned that the woman taken to the hospital was receiving treatment and was in a life-threatening condition. It was stated that doctors were making intensive efforts to keep the woman alive.

Meanwhile, the couple's two children, who were at home during the incident, experienced psychological trauma. Police teams took the children, who were in shock from the incident, to a safe area and placed them under protection. It was reported that the children's condition was also checked by medical teams and that the necessary psychological support would be provided. It was also learned that the Social Services units intervened regarding the matter. A process was initiated to hand the children over to their relatives or relevant institutions.

On the other hand, the police teams launched a large-scale operation to capture the fugitive suspect D.G. Security cameras in the area are being examined, and operations are being carried out at various points to capture the suspect. The police have granted broad authority to their teams to ensure the suspect is caught soon. While the investigation into the incident continues, the neighborhood residents feel great anxiety due to this brutal attack. Authorities announced that all necessary measures will be taken to prevent such incidents of violence.
