Drunk driver in Aksaray fined 25 thousand liras and license confiscated

In a routine traffic check conducted on Alparslan Türkeş Boulevard in the Paşacık Mahallesi of Aksaray, severe penalties were imposed on a driver found to be driving under the influence of alcohol. Teams from the Traffic Control Branch of the Provincial Police Department stopped drivers to perform identity and license checks in order to ensure regional security. Upon suspicion, the driver of the car with the license plate 68 AFN 929, identified as T.Y., was subjected to a breathalyzer test. The breathalyzer measurement revealed that the driver had a blood alcohol level of 0.69 promille. Upon this discovery, legal proceedings were immediately initiated against the driver.

An administrative fine of 25 thousand liras was imposed on the driver, who blatantly endangered traffic safety by driving under the influence. The penal sanction was not limited to this, and the driver's license was also confiscated as a precautionary measure. Traffic teams once again reminded that alcohol slows drivers' reflexes and that this situation directly endangers the lives of both the driver and others on the road.
