Indictment prepared against the parents of the attacker in the Kahramanmaraş school attack

While the investigation into the school attack in Kahramanmaraş, which resulted in the deaths of students and a teacher, continues, an important development has occurred. An indictment has been prepared by the Kahramanmaraş Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against the parents of the attacker, İsa Aras Mersinli.

In the indictment, it was demanded that the attacker's father, Uğur Mersinli, be punished for the crimes of "killing with eventual intent" and violating the Firearms Law. During the investigation process, claims emerged that the weapons used in the attack belonged to the father, and the father had been arrested previously.

For the attacker's mother, Peyman Pınar Mersinli, a charge of "causing death and injury by conscious negligence" was brought. In previous statements, it was determined that psychiatric treatment was recommended for the attacker, but the family did not make the necessary applications. Following the acceptance of the indictment by the court, the trial of the mother and father will begin.
