Manchester Mayor Burnham announces tax plan to save pubs and high streets

Andy Burnham, the Mayor of Manchester and a rising star in British politics, has announced a comprehensive tax plan aimed at rescuing local pubs and high streets from the economic crisis. Touted as a potential Prime Minister, when asked by Marr who he would choose as chancellor, Burnham said he had not yet determined a specific name but expressed that economic policies would be based on a vision prioritizing such local improvements.
