Minister of Industry of Egypt Engineer Khaled Hashem announced that the country's electrical and engineering equipment sector has become one of the priority industrial branches. The Minister emphasized that this sector stands out not only by offering high added value but also with its export potential. Furthermore, he underlined that the sector directly contributes to the processes of technology transfer and deepening local production. He stated that thanks to the modern infrastructure developed by the state in recent years, the production and export volume have increased significantly. He added to his words that current economic reforms and the supportive investment environment also play a critical role in this growth.

These statements were made within the scope of a speech delivered on behalf of Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouly. The speech was read at the opening of the third edition of the Egypt Power Show (EPS) Buyers Mission Fair, organized by the Engineering Exports Council. The event was held under the patronage of the Prime Minister of Egypt, with many sector representatives and high-level officials attending. Chairman of the Engineering Exports Council Engineer Sherif El-Sayad and Energy Advisor to the Minister of Industry Engineer Hussein El-Ghazawi were present at the opening ceremony. Representatives of the engineering companies participating in the fair also held significant discussions regarding the future of the sector.

Minister Hashem stated that the fair has become a unique platform bringing manufacturers and exporters together with their business partners in global markets. He emphasized that the intense interest shown by international buyers from 20 different countries is a clear indication of the increased confidence in Egypt products. He expressed that this situation proves that Egypt industry possesses all the necessary capabilities to compete at regional and international levels. He also noted that the event will help increase the country's prestige in the industry and facilitate its access to new markets. The Minister added to his remarks that making these organizations regular holds great strategic importance in achieving economic goals.

Thanking the Engineering Exports Council as a strategic partner, the Minister praised the council's efforts to open new markets. He encouraged Egypt companies to export more products worldwide and to increase their global competitiveness. He pledged that, as a ministry, they would mobilize all resources to support local production and exports. He also stated that all incentives would be provided to strengthen the local and global integration of supply chains. Sherif El-Sayad, in his speech, announced that the council will continue to organize trade missions to open up to foreign markets and that they aim for engineering exports to reach 7.5 billion dollars by 2026.

Following the opening ceremony, Minister Hashem visited the stands of engineering companies set up at the fairground one by one. During these visits, he listened to information from company representatives about local contribution rates, technologies used, and quality certifications possessed. He also evaluated the share of exports within the total production of the companies and their performance in international markets. The Minister also met with representatives from the Arab and African buyers delegations, seizing opportunities to develop bilateral commercial relations. The event created a successful collaborative environment where industry professionals shared innovative products and state-of-the-art solutions with international visitors.
