Russia's attack on a depot near Kyiv: 27 dead, 42 injured

Russia's forces launched a drone attack on a depot in the Buchansky region near Kyiv. Following the attack, a large explosion occurred at the depot and surrounding homes were also affected, resulting in at least 27 people killed and 42 injured. Among the injured are four children.

Emergency crews, while extinguishing the fire and inspecting buildings, evacuated 381 people, including 59 children, to outside the emergency zone. A response center was established in Dmytrivka, providing food, psychological support, and temporary shelter. According to initial estimates, approximately 50 homes suffered damage of varying degrees.

Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky emphasized that ammunition should not be stored near homes, stating that those responsible must be held accountable. Furthermore, Zelensky noted that Kyiv has been subjected to continuous drone attacks, calling for international support. Interior Minister Sergii Koretskyi and Minister of Internal Affairs Ivan Vyhivskyi also announced that the incident will be investigated and criminal proceedings will begin regarding negligence offenses.
