Sadio Mané puts an end to his Senegal National Team career

Sadio Mané, who has become one of the legendary players of the Senegal National Team, announced that he has officially ended his international football career following the 2026 World Cup. The 34-year-old star footballer announced his farewell after a successful and eventful adventure under the national jersey. In his farewell message published via Le Quotidien, he stated that he would open a new door in his football career. While making a total of 130 appearances for the national team, Mané achieved the success of hitting the opponent's net 54 times. The experienced footballer, whose career graph has been fluctuating in its final period for the Senegal national team, left unforgettable memories in international tournaments. Mané's greatest achievement engraved in memories was undoubtedly leading Senegal to the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) championship in 2021. In that final match, his team defeated Egypt in a penalty shootout to achieve the first AFCON championship in their country's history.
