Planned Power Outage in Trabzon Ortahisar: Those Neighborhoods Will Be Affected

Comprehensive investment works have been initiated in the Ortahisar district of Trabzon to strengthen the electrical infrastructure and provide a more uninterrupted energy service to regional residents. In the official statement made by Çoruh Elektrik Dağıtım A.Ş. (ÇORUH EDAŞ), it was emphasized that these planned works are extremely necessary for the creation of a modern and sustainable energy network today. Within the scope of the mentioned infrastructure improvement activities, it was reported that power outages, which may affect daily life even if short-term, will be experienced in some regions across the city. Authorities stated that such planned outages are implemented to increase the capacity of the electrical grid and to prevent sudden failures that may occur in the future. In this context, it was announced that maintenance and renovation operations regarding energy transmission lines will be carried out in three different neighborhoods located in the Ortahisar district on Wednesday, 8 July.

The first settlement planned to be affected by the power outage will be Bengisu Mahallesi, and the works here will begin in the morning hours. In line with the detailed program shared by the authorities, electricity in Bengisu Mahallesi will provide interrupted service between 09:30 and 16:30. A similar situation will apply to Yeniköy Mahallesi, which is also located in the same district, and the power outage in this neighborhood will last for exactly seven hours, between 09:30 and 16:30. The main factor causing the outage in both neighborhoods was officially recorded as "Investment Work". During this period, it is of great importance for neighborhood residents to take the necessary precautions to protect their electronic devices, medical equipment, and basic home appliances such as refrigerators.

Another important region where the outage will expand is Yeşilhisa Mahallesi, and the power outage here will come into effect a bit earlier than the others. The planned power outage for the residents of Yeşilhisa Mahallesi will be implemented between 09:00 and 16:00, thus aiming for a total of seven hours of uninterrupted work process. ÇORUH EDAŞ authorities stated that the work in all three neighborhoods is part of the grid renewal and transition process to advanced technology infrastructure systems. Thanks to this maintenance to be carried out within the scope of the investment works, it is aimed for the relevant neighborhoods to have higher quality and less faulty electricity in the future. Although this situation seems like a short-term grievance, it is considered a mandatory step to be taken for the regional public to access healthier energy in the long run.
