Rain, Thunderstorms, and Temperatures Reaching 30°C: Ukraine Weather Forecast

The weather is expected to be highly variable across Ukraine during the upcoming weekend and the days that follow. Rainfall of varying intensity, from light to moderate, will be seen in various regions of the country. Additionally, intermittent thunderstorms will be a factor in the weather conditions. In statements made by meteorologist Ivan Semilit from the Ukraine Hydrometeorology Center, it is noted that temperature values will show significant differences from region to region. The temperature values are expected to show a gradually increasing trend.

In the western parts of the country, thermometers are expected to show their lowest levels. In contrast, air temperatures in the southern and eastern regions of the country are expected to reach their highest levels. On Saturday, partly cloudy skies are expected across the country, while brief local showers are expected nationwide during the night, and during the day in the Carpathians, southern, and southeastern regions. During the daytime, thunderstorm formation will be observed in some areas. The wind is expected to blow from the southwest throughout the day, with the northwest direction prevailing in the west.

For Sunday, variable cloudiness is again expected. Brief showers and thunderstorms are expected during the daytime hours in the western and northern regions. Nighttime temperatures will range between 9 and 14 degrees, while daytime temperatures will be measured between 20 and 25 degrees. In the southern and southeastern regions, nighttime temperatures of 13-18 degrees and daytime temperatures of 23-28 degrees are expected. In the capital Kyiv, variable cloudiness will prevail throughout the weekend, and the risk of brief showers and storms will continue. While daytime temperatures in the city will not exceed 24 degrees, nighttime temperatures will range between 12 and 14 degrees.

As of Monday, variable cloudiness will continue to affect the entirety of Ukraine. While brief local showers are expected only during the night, brief showers and thunderstorm formations are forecasted for most of the country throughout the day. For Tuesday and Wednesday, due to the influence of an atmospheric front, brief but stormy showers are again expected. Temperatures are expected to be around 11-16 degrees at night and 20-25 degrees during the day, with the wind forecasted to blow from the northwest at a speed of 5-10 meters/second. This situation, combined with a drop in atmospheric pressure, will cause the weather to remain cool and rainy.

In light of current data, weather conditions are expected to stabilize and generally rainless weather is expected to prevail during the period covering 16-20 July. Brief showers and storms are expected only on 16 July in the western regions and on 20 July in the western parts at the country's outer edges. Meteorologist Semilit states that temperature values will become much more pleasant and warm during this period. Nighttime temperatures are reported to rise to 16-22 degrees, and daytime temperatures to 24-30 degrees. It is forecasted that temperatures in southern cities such as Odesa will gradually increase, reaching an average of 27 degrees.
