Prefect of Gironde: 53 houses and a campsite destroyed in the Saumos forest fire

Major damage occurred in the Saumos fire that broke out in the Gironde region of France.

The prefect of the region, Sophie Brocas, confirmed the scale of the disaster in her statement from Lège-Cap-Ferret.
