US conducts airstrikes on Iran for the fifth consecutive night

The United States conducted airstrikes on Iran for the fifth consecutive night with the aim of degrading the country's military capabilities. In a statement made from its X account by the U.S. Army Central Command, it was announced that the bombardment was initiated at the hours and the targets were struck.

During the attacks, Kish Island, located in Iran's Hormozgan province, was repeatedly hit with American missiles. Additionally, according to information reported by state television based on local officials, the Bandar Abbas region on the coast of the Strait of Hormuz was also subjected to airstrikes. Iranian officials announced that the attacks in the region have not resulted in any casualties so far.

The conflict between the two countries had reignited on 7 July following attacks targeting ships in the Gulf, for which Iran was held responsible. Recorded as the largest-scale attacks since the ceasefire declared in April, these events are also disrupting diplomatic efforts to establish lasting peace in the region.
