Car and Minibus Collided in Amasya: 1 Dead, 3 Injured

The traffic accident that occurred on a route connected to Göynücek district of Amasya caused great sorrow in the region. Two vehicles traveling on the Amasya-Göynücek highway collided in an uncontrolled manner at the Gözlek village location. It was determined that one of the vehicles involved in the accident was an automobile with license plate 05 AFC 867 driven by Selami A., and the other was a minibus with license plate 05 M 4515 driven by İbrahim A. The severity of the collision caused material damage to both vehicles, while resulting in the death of a driver or passenger who was trapped in the automobile. Health and security teams were dispatched to the scene immediately, but in the initial checks made right after the accident, the identity of the deceased person was identified as Cafer Ak.

While the toll of the accident was heavy, the condition of the injured is being followed with concern. The body of Cafer Ak (55), who was in the automobile and passed away at the scene despite all interventions, was taken to the hospital morgue for the forensic medicine process after the examinations at the scene. The injured included citizens named Halit B., Ahmet A., and Osman A., who were passengers in the minibus. These three injured people were dispatched to surrounding hospitals by ambulance teams that quickly reached the scene, and they were treated in the emergency room to stabilize their health conditions. No official statement has yet been made regarding whether the injured have life-threatening conditions.

Upon receiving the news of the accident, many teams were dispatched to the region and extensive security measures were taken at the scene. AFAD teams arrived at the scene and took necessary precautions against a possible fire risk, while gendarmerie teams closed the highway to traffic and took vehicle passage under control. In addition, fire crews were on standby to rescue the injured left in the vehicle or to ensure the safe removal of the vehicles in case of a scenario where someone might be trapped. The coordinated work of these teams prevented chaos at the scene and enabled the injured to reach the hospital as soon as possible.
